About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Quantitative Solutions Engineering Specialist who will join a small team within Cyber Security Data Science Machine Learning organization focused on developing cutting edge solutions to address Cyber Security related use cases. The ideal candidate will need to be experienced with big data environments (Multi-Petabyte), polyglot programmer, excel at data cleaning and curation, be comfortable working on ambiguous problems that likely have not been solved (or only partially solved), and have the ability to turn business requirements into solutions. We are seeking someone that has experience and domain expertise in data science and machine learning with proven ability to mature and scale data models, and the ability to lead junior personnel that may not have this background and exposure.

Must have significant experience developing end-to-end Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning solutions, and leading implementation of complex projects/initiatives in this technology area. Responsible for defining and maturing implementation of data science strategy. Mentor and train other members of the team. Partner with Management, Dev, QA, production support and platform engineering teams effectively. Focuses on building relevant capabilities in the organization to keep pace with demand and best practices in the industry.

Understands and leads the team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and works with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead complex initiatives in performing activities related to creation, implementation, and on-going models used to analyze and manage risk in decision making in functional areas
  • Establish in high impact engineering and act as key participant in large-scale planning
  • Adept at following the System Development Life Cycle process, quality, security, and compliance requirements
  • Develop models and strategies for short and long term objectives, supporting and providing insights regarding a wide array of business initiatives
  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring understanding with the agile development
  • Influence global assessment of models and schedules inclusive to engineering and identifying structure and scope of review
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 5+ years of Quantitative Solutions Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of Agile experience
  • 5+ years of machine learning experience
  • 3+ years Machine Learning Development Life Cycle experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 5+ years of Python experience
  • 5+ years of experience delivering ETL, data warehouse and data analytics capabilities on big-data architecture such as Hadoop
  • 5+ years cyber security analysis experience
  • 3 + years of experience with Elasticsearch development, integration or support
  • 3+ year of experience with deploying code to cloud based technologies
  • 3+ year of experience with Jupyter Notebooks
